It has been understood that many wordpress beginners getting confuse about the differences between Wordpress.com And Wordpress.org , The main reason for this tutorial is to give rise, all wp users to choose a particular blog to use in those two blogs.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WORDPRESS.COM AND WORDPRESS.ORG

1- In Wordpress.org All Plugins Allowed

In wordpress.org you can upload any free, paid or custom plugin that you want. This Allow you to maximize wordpress's potential as a CMS.

- In Wordprss.com No plugins Are Allowed

You cannot upload any free, paid or custom plugins. There a lot of built-in plugin-like features.


2- Wordpress.org Support Full Themes

You can use custom/commercial themes, and all other free themes that exist. You can modify, customize or do any thing you like with your site.

- In Wordpress.com Limited Themes Support

You are limited to free themes that exist in wordpress theme respiratory. You cannot modify the Css, or Other codes within the themes.


3- Wordpress.org Is Not Part Of Network

Because your site is independent and not part of wordpress.com network, your post do not get extra traffic from wordpress.com network.

-There Is Extra Traffic In Worpress.com

Wordpress.com as a network may feature your post in their blog of the day section or tag. This will result in extra traffic to your blog that you normally wouldn't get.


4-There is Maintainace In Wordpress.org

You are responsible for keeping your site update, keeping your site regular backups, having SPAM control options, and most importantly keeping your site optimize.

- There Is No maintenance In Wordpress.com

5-Monetization Freedom In Wordpress.org

You can sell as many ads you want on your website. You can use any ad service you want. Most importantly you get to keep 100% of what you earn from your site.

You are Not allow to sell ads on your site unless you receive 25,000 pageviews/ month. In which case you have to apply to try the feature called ad control.


6-Regular Experience In wordpress.org

You have to pay your web hosting monthly or annually. You would need to pay a domain registration fee yearly. For high traffic sites, the cost of hosting can get expensive.

- Wordpress.com Is Free

Wordpress.com blog are Free for up 3GB of storage space. Your blogs will display the text ads to logged-out users. You also have to pay domain registration fee for custom names if don't want sub-domain.


7- Wordpress.org is of install

Wordpress.org is of installing. I.e its software install through hosting.

-Wordpress.com Is Not Installed Software

The wordpress.com is directly registed site and work on it with out using hosting site.


Which one is for you?

If you are a personal blogger who do not care about making money from their sites, then go with WordPress.com.
If you are a blogger trying to make blogging into a career, then you want to use self hosted WordPress.org. Often people will say, self-hosted WordPress will cost you money. For a small enough site, it is actually cheaper.

Let’s say you use WordPress.com, buy their custom domain ($17 per year), pay for ad-free option ($29.97 per year), and get custom design upgrade ($30 per year).
That total is $76.97, and you are still not in full control.

For WordPress.org, you can use Bluehost (officially recommended by WordPress) which costs $3.95 per month so $47.4 per year, and it includes a free domain name.
If you go with other web hosting companies, then you will pay a similar price, but you won’t get a domain.
However, you can get a domain name for $10 from Godaddy. Your total would come to $57.4 per year. You will have full control over everything. Is one easier to use than the other? Nope. The interface of both are very similar.
