See Reason Why Apple Deactivated And Latter Reactivated Its Official Twitter Account

Apple is one of those major tech companies that don’t use social media that much as compared to others like for example they don’t have an official Facebook page. However, some of their services have Twitter and Facebook accounts and today the company threw in a surprise by reactivating their official Twitter account.<br /> <br /> When you view the profile, you can see that they actually “joined” on September 2011 and has been dormant for all these years. The account could be used for several things like giving statements from the company to the world about a particular issue or in this month’s case, live tweet away during their keynote address next week.<br /> <br /> This also comes at a time when the company reactivated also their Apple Support Twitter account which as the name suggests, is used to forward your complaints to the company.<br /> <br /> These are not the only Twitter accounts in existence as they also have one for their streaming service (Apple Music) their store (App Store) and one for their news aggregator (Apple News). Could this mean a new direction from the company? We are not sure but it will be interesting to follow the updates from their “new” official account.

New Pixel Smartphones to Replace Nexus Devices from Google, Said to Launch on October 4th

Google has had several device lineups so far. There is the Nexus devices where the company showcases the latest mobile software. There’s the Pixel which is kind of a mixed bag since it caters to both Android and Chrome OS and then there are the other hardware efforts ranging from new devices like Google Home and the On Hub router to previous efforts like Google Glass and home automation products from Nest and hits like the Chromecast dongle.<br /> <br /> In its efforts to streamline its device offerings, Google is said to be axing the Nexus device lineup in favour of a new device lineup that puts the Google brand front and centre. According to a new report by Android Police, that new device lineup won’t have an entirely new name. Google’s Modular Smartphone Experiment is Dead

We’ve all or at least those of us who live, eat and breathe devices, dreamt of a future whereby we don’t have to walk into a shop to buy a new smartphone just so that we could get a new camera, the latest faster processor and the like.<br /> <br /> For a while, that dream seemed to be on course to becoming through thanks to an experiment started by Motorola and which Google kept going after it sold off Motorola to Lenovo.<br /> <br /> However, a new Reuters report shatters all such dreams. Project Ara, as the modular smartphone experiment spearheaded by Google was known, is on its deathbed and is not expected to bounce back at least with the search giant in the driving seat. Samsung Confirms Halting Galaxy Note 7 Shipments in Wake of Faulty Battery Concerns

Since it started shipping its latest high-end smartphone, the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has been confronted by multiple reports of the device misbehaving and in extreme cases even exploding and catching fire. This has necessitated the company’s drastic move to halt any further shipments and delaying planned launches of the device in several markets. Additionally, the company has stated that it will be replacing any faulty Galaxy Note 7 units.<br /> <br /> The company has not revealed when it plans to start shipping the device again which means that for the most part, sales remain suspended.<br /> <br /> Korean publication Yonhap had earlier reported that Samsung was going to recall all Galaxy Note 7 units sold worldwide. According to the official statement from the company, it seems that it is narrowing down to just the affected devices.<br /> <br /> “FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ALREADY HAVE GALAXY NOTE7 DEVICES, WE WILL VOLUNTARILY REPLACE THEIR CURRENT DEVICE WITH A NEW ONE OVER THE COMING WEEKS.” – SAMSUNG<br /> <br /> This is a first for Samsung as none of the company’s high-profile mobile product launches has ever been marred by such a fault. With a 4.6-inch display, it is now one of the few sub-5-inch smartphones that one can go with in case they are not impressed by today’s big smartphones. With the Z Compact, Sony is also resurrecting its long interest in quality audio. The Y3II has been selling in Kenya for a while now while the latter two are just entering the market. The Y3II’s unique feature is what Huawei calls the Rainbow Light i.e. a circular light ring around the back camera that lights up in multiple colours for instance when one is playing music. Both the Y3II and the Y5II have an “Easy key”, a key that resembles the Boom key on the Alcatel Idol 4/4S and BlackBerry DTEK50. Like the Idol 4’s Boom key, the Easy key can be customized to launch specific apps.</p><p>The Y6II is the more premium of the 3 Y-series devices now available in Kenya. It has the biggest display of all devices launched today and Huawei is playing up the device’s 13-megapixel camera.</p><p>The GR5 mini, which has only been in the global market for a little over a month, is a smaller version of the fantastic GR5 we looked at back in May. Like its larger sibling, it packs an always-on fingerprint sensor at the back of the device, an all-metal body and a beefy battery. The display has been reduced to just 5.2 inches while retaining its full HD resolution while Huawei has replaced Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 with its own Kirin 650.
