Xiaomi has officially unveiled the much anticipated Redmi Note 4 in China.
The device takes over from the Redmi Note 3 which was announced in China back in December 2015 but only started showing up in international markets in early 2016.
The device’s body has been upgraded to sport a premium all-metal build with chamfered edges. The Redmi Note 3, in comparison, had a plastic design with a fingerprint scanner and upgraded internals being the main difference between it and its predecessor, the Redmi Note 2.
The device arrives in gold, silver and gray colours for an equivalent of $135 and $180 for the 2GB RAM-16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM-64GB internal storage models respectively. It starts selling in China tomorrow (August 26th) through Xiaomi’s Mi online store, carrier China Mobile and other retailers. We’re crossing our fingers for international availability soon.
